Join Schooner Blue Clipper in the busy Portuguese port of Portimão located in the popular Algarve region of Portugal, famous for its stretches of sandy beaches.

This is an ocean crossing under sail and is sure to be a dream for many but certainly not for the faint-hearted. The rhythm of the ocean and weather will determine life on board and determine the route of sail but the end destination will be the Caribbean island of Grenada. A horseshoe-shaped harbour, surrounded by a hillside of an old volcano crater and known as the spice Island of the Caribbean, you really can smell nutmeg in the air.

Your holiday on Blue Clipper will be an active expedition sailing holiday. Night sailing is a wondrous occasion and with no light pollution, you will see the night sky as you have never seen it before. Believe it or not, you do not need any sailing experience. The professional and experienced crew will teach you everything you need to know as you will sail with and become part of the crew, hoisting sails, taking the helm and really getting involved with sailing a tall ship.

Work as part of a watch system, help to navigate the ocean, climb the rigging, mend a sail and get into the rhythm of ocean sailing.  Learn about Celestial navigation, gain skills in seamanship and learn to live on the ocean, at one with nature. Enjoy the comfort of tall ship Blue Clipper with ensuite cabins and freshly cooked meals all included in your ticket price.
