Join tall ship, Blue Clipper in the Spanish town of Vigo. An industrious port on the one hand but traditionally and culturally Spanish one on the other. Wander the old city walls and soak up the historic Spanish architecture, old tavernas and traditional tapas bars. The perfect place to begin your sailing holiday.

Sail down the Portuguese coast of Iberia, stopping to explore traditional harbour towns whilst getting some last-minute winter sunshine before finishing your voyage in the town of Portimao.

Your holiday on Blue Clipper will be an active expedition sailing holiday. Night sailing is a wondrous occasion and with no light pollution, you will see the night sky as you have never seen it before. Believe it or not, you do not need any sailing experience. The professional and experienced crew will teach you everything you need to know as you will sail with and become part of the crew, hoisting sails, taking the helm and really getting involved with sailing a tall ship. Work as part of a watch system, help to navigate the ocean, climb the rigging, mend a sail and get into the rhythm of ocean sailing.  Learn about Celestial navigation, gain skills in seamanship and learn to live on the ocean, at one with nature.

As with all Blue Clipper’s sailing holidays, your ticket price includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks and Soft Drinks. There are six twin cabins with ensuites, one 4berth ensuite cabin and two 2berth forepeak cabins that share a bathroom. Twin cabins are available for single occupancy at a 40% surcharge. All cabins have bedding and towels provided.

As this is an active adventure holiday, we advise that everyone has the appropriate personal accident travel insurance whilst onboard in addition to standard travel insurance which would cover you in the time between making your booking and departing for your adventure. These policies can sometimes be combined so please check with your travel insurance provider.
