Life at Sea

Set the sails with Blue Clipper as she heads East along the Iberian coastline and heads for the beautiful Guadalquivir River to Seville. Where you’ll stop along the way depends on the wind and tides but there are many harbour towns along the coast of both Portugal and Spain boasting crystal clear anchorages, blue lagoons and sandy beaches.

The original part of Seville dates back to the 8th century and is tied into the myth of Hercules who is said to have been the founder of the original city. Arriving to this city by boat has to be the best entrance, tracing the footsteps of trading roots past. Spend time exploring ashore and getting to know the city before heading back down the river and along the coast to Portimão.

Getting Involved

Sailing with Blue Clipper is certainly an enjoyable hands on experience and guests are encouraged to get involved with all aspects of sailing this magnificent tall ship. From hoisting the sails to taking the helm, the friendly and knowledgable crew are on hand to show you the ropes.

Blue Clipper has a dedicated chef onboard too so you don’t have to worry about cooking after a days sailing in the salty sea air. Think, locally caught, fresh fish from the surrounding waters and home-cooked meals.

As with all Blue Clipper’s sailing holidays, your ticket price includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks and Soft Drinks. There are six ensuite twin cabins and one six-berth cabin with a shared bathroom.  All cabins have bedding and towels provided.
