Climb aboard Pellew in the Cornish harbour town of St Mawes for an exhilarating day sailing experience you won’t forget!
St Mawes is a special place for Pellew and its history is close to her heart. She is the re-creation of Falmouth Pilot Cutter No.8 Vincent who was one of the longest-surviving and best-documented of the Falmouth Pilot Cutters, built-in 1852 for the Vincent family of St Mawes.
Sail in the footsteps of Vincent as Pellew makes her way out of Carrick waters and depending on the weather, sail East along the Roseland or West toward the Lizard. Whichever way the wind takes you, you’ll be sure to feel the immense power of the wind in her sails as she glides effortlessly through the water.
Whether you’re hoisting the sails or taking the helm as you explore the Cornish coast you’ll see just what sailing a Pilot Cutter is really all about.
Not only will there be great sailing included in your ticket price but top-notch hospitality too. As you climb aboard from 9.30am you’ll be greeted with coffee and cake, followed by a freshly prepared lunch to recharge after an invigorating morning sailing. If that wasn’t enough, there is even afternoon tea served before you return ashore for about 5pm!
There are currently no voyages scheduled. Please get in touch with the VentureSail team to find out what’s available, or if other upcoming voyages might be suitable.
