Cruise the Adriatic Seas on schooner Kairos, visiting Montenegro and the beautiful Croatian Islands of Mljet, Lastovo and Korcula.

Join Kairos in the Bay of Kotor at the fortified port of Herceg Novi, Montenegro. Oozing with history, this little town boasts cobbled squares, elegant churches, formidable fortresses and Venetian palaces. Dating back to 1532, Herceg Novi is a fascinating and beautiful port to start your holiday.

As with all sailing holidays, the itinerary is not set until closer to the time but be assured that this cruise will see you exploring the magnificent coastline of the Adriatic Sea and the Croatian Islands of Mljet, Lastovo and Korcula. Finally, you will work your way back toward Herceg Novi, stopping at the must-see city of Dubrovnik and the coastal town of Cavta.

The Croatian Islands
Mljet is a National Park and is one of Croatia’s greenest islands and home to crystal clear waters, beautiful shorelines and sandy beaches. The waters around Mjlet are at a higher temperature than the sea and are full of marine life so plenty of exploring, swimming and snorkelling opportunities. Stroll around the two famous saltwater lakes or even visit the legendary Odysseus Cave.

Lastovo is part of an archipelago of 46 islands that is one of Croatia’s beautiful Nature parks. Formerly a military base, the island of Lastovo was only recently opened to the public so is full of unspoiled charm. There is an abundance of marine life, ancient wrecks and natural wonders – perfect for a swim, snorkel or even a Scuba dive. As a result of strict controls within the park, you must be accompanied by registered guides when diving.

Korcula is the largest of the three islands you will visit and has, of course, with all these beautiful islands, plenty of places to explore, swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters, along stretches of sandy beaches. Korcula is known as ‘little-Dubrovnik’ and will take your breath away with its magnificent medieval architecture and fortresses. With romantic cobbled streets and cafes and bars serving the best white Croatian wines, this is the perfect place to unwind and watch the world go by.
Kairos will anchor along the beautiful coastlines of these stunning Croatian Islands, offering you the chance to go ashore and experience the beauty and history of this little known part of the world. Make use of her watersports facilities onboard too including water skiing, wake-board, tube riding and snorkelling equipment!
Once you have finished exploring Mljet, Lastovo and Korcula; sail back toward the Croatian coastline and to the must-see city of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is now a Unesco world heritage site and one of the world’s most magnificent walled cities. During the 16th century, it had one of the largest merchant naval fleets in the world but today, visitors come here for leisure.  The main draw is the charming pedestrian-only old town, packed with history and elegant Baroque churches, contained within the breathtaking medieval fortifications.
With Kairos as your base, great food included and some beautiful bucket list locations; this is a holiday experience of a lifetime and one not to be missed!

Guest berths: 16 Rig: Bermuda Schooner

Registered in Rotterdam but spending her days sailing the Med, Kairós was purpose built as a charter vessel in 2007, as a two-masted, 38m staysail schooner.

This beautiful luxurious schooner was designed by Klaus Röder who based his design on a classic yacht whilst keeping up with the modern day schooners; built for performance sailing and guest comfort. Kairós offers a total of 8 comfortable en-suite double cabins for up to 16 guests, these private cabins have either a queen size bed or single bunks and all have air-conditioning. The deckhouse has its very own small bar whilst below decks offers still more space to relax, from the saloon with its plasma TV to its very own library.

Built with luxury in mind, the outline on deck is of teak and mahogany with plenty of space to sun-bath, read a book and enjoy the views. All the sails are electronically retractable, so no need to learn the ropes here. (The crew are, however, more than happy for guests to get involved with the operating and sailing of Kairós as much as they would like!)

An admiralty ladder provides the perfect place to jump off into the warm Mediterranean waters, have a swim and climb back aboard with ease. Kairós also offers her guests the options of using her water skiing, wake-board, tube riding and snorkelling equipment!

The professional crew consists of the Skipper, first mate, mechanic, bosun, cook and 2 stewards, so you will most certainly be looked after during your time aboard Kairos.
