This voyage will begin in Gravesend, on the south bank of the River Thames about 20 miles from King’s Cross Station. At the mouth of the river the ship will reach the estuary, with its maze of sandbanks and shallow waters – but the ship will always stay within sight of land so this particular voyage is ideal for first-time sailors and those who just want a taste of life aboard a tall ship before trying one of our longer voyages!
Eye of the Wind will anchor at the seaside town of Ramsgate, which was one of the great seaside towns of the 19th century – and once home to Vincent Van Gough! Explore this classic coastal town and its beaches and harbour for the perfect end to your voyage.
There are currently no voyages scheduled. Please get in touch with the VentureSail team to find out what’s available, or if other upcoming voyages might be suitable.
