Set sail with tall ship Trinovante as she journeys from Sweden to the Danish capital of Copenhagen exploring sandy islands or historic Scandinavian towns.
Begining your voyage in the beautiful archipelago of Gothenburg is the perfect introduction to Swedish sailing. With over 20 islands to discover and explore, this archipelago stretches the Swedish coast like a string of pearls. Classic coloured wooden houses line the shorefronts with seals basking on rocky outlets. Charming traditional Scandinavian villages, stunning beaches and nature reserves are all waiting to be explored.
This voyage will have two route options depending on the weather. One option is to sail down the Kattegat sea and to the sandy island of Anholt. This Danish island is covered in a blanket of pine-wooded forest on one side and sweeping desert-like terrain on the other. The other option is to keep close to the Swedish coast perhaps visiting towns such as Varberg or Halmstad.
Whichever way we choose, Trinovante will aim to sail into the Danish town of Helsingor to see Hamlet’s castle before continuing down Oresund and reaching our final stop of Copenhagen. Rich in culture and heritage, Copenhagen ends your voyage in a sensational way. Nyhavn is the most colourful street in the city of Copenhagen with architectural delights dating back to the 17th century where cafes line the canal replete with old wooden sailing ships.
As with all our sailing holidays, the exact itinerary will depend on the weather will be chosen each day by your skipper to make the best use of the weather conditions. All meals and hot/soft drinks and hire of waterproofs are included in your ticket price.
