Experience one of the most spectacular sailing grounds in the world and sail with tall ship Trinovante as she explores from Norway to Sweden. Sailing from Sandefjord, Trinovante will be working her across the Oslo fjord and to the Swedish archipelago of Gothenburg. Expect truly spectacular scenery with plenty of time to explore ashore.
Joining Trinovante in the Sandefjord is the perfect introduction to voyaging through Norway. A modern yet charming seaside town with large forests and numerous sandy beaches. The Vikings lived in the area about 1,000 years ago, and in Sandefjord, their presence is clearly seen in the artefacts and monuments they left behind. This is where the famous Gokstad ship was found, and the area has several other sites and historical landmarks from the Viking era. Sandefjord is also home to Europe’s only museum dedicated to whaling and its history and is well worth a visit.
The voyage will see you cross the magnificent Oslo fjord before sailing across the invisible border to the Swedish coast. Here you will spend your days exploring this unspoiled coastline known as Bohuslän, home to thousands of islands and skerries.
Sail onto discover the beautiful archipelago of Gothenburg. With over 20 islands to discover and explore, this archipelago stretches the Swedish coast like a string of pearls. Classic coloured wooden houses line the shorefronts with seals basking on rocky outlets. Charming traditional Scandinavian villages, stunning beaches and nature reserves are all waiting to be explored.
As with all our sailing holidays, the exact itinerary will depend on the weather and tides will be chosen each day by your skipper to make the best use of the weather conditions. All meals and hot/soft drinks and hire of waterproofs are included in your ticket price.
