Falmouth Classics began in the early 1980s and has since become one of Falmouth’s most popular weekends. Attracting people from all over the world, traditional and classic ships arrive to race in the mouth of the River Fal, Carrick Roads and the beautiful Falmouth Bay. From classic yachts to traditional luggers – the harbour is filled with beautiful classics, exhilarating races and a fascinating parade of sail. See Falmouth Classics for its full sailing programme and weekend itinerary.
Onshore in Falmouth town you’ll be entertained on every street corner and pub as the International Sea Shanty Festival takes place alongside Falmouth Classics. Sing along with over 60 musical groups from shores far and wide in over 20 venues around the town. With plenty of ale and rum to quench your thirst, you’ll soon feel compelled to join in with these traditional songs from seafarers of old! See Falmouth Sea Shanty for more information and the weekends’ itinerary.
The excitement is undeniably best seen from the water, however, the atmosphere in the town is not to be missed either. With pop-up maritime stalls, traditional Cornish pubs and cobbled streets; Falmouth will be a great place to soak up the passion for sailing that is so prevalent in the town. The itinerary can be flexible but the intention will be to participate in the races throughout Friday and Saturday with a parade of sail taking place on Sunday. Pettifox is very much in it for the pleasure and goes by the “it’s the taking part that counts”! Each evening there is entertainment and social events ashore which guests are invited to attend. Saturday normally holds an “open boat” event on the pontoon where you can climb aboard and visit other classic yachts.
Your ticket price includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner* and soft Drinks. There are two curtained bunk berths are in the saloon and two bunks in the fore cabin. Bedding is provided – you just need to bring your own towel. (*two meals are to be eaten ashore at the guests’ expense to ensure you get a full Scilly islands experience!)
Simply click “Enquire Now” to reserve your berth for five days whilst you sort your travel plans. No booking form or deposit is required until you are ready to book!

Getting There:
Unlike our other Isles of Scilly voyages, Pettifox will be ready and waiting for you on the island of St Mary’s. You’ll need to get either the Scillonian from Penzance or the Skybus from Newquay Airport.
Both deliver directly to St Mary’s so you will either need to walk around the harbour or get a short taxi ride from the airport.
