Join one of the last remaining working historic vessels, Bessie Ellen, for a sailing holiday in Cornwall with Fowey as the perfect starting point for your adventure sailing holiday.
Bessie Ellen’s voyages are not “set in stone”. She is flexible for private charter sailings from April 12th to the 17th of May 2021. Perfect for bubble groups or families, Bessie Ellen is offering bespoke sailing holidays for 2 nights and 3 day weekends or longer breaks of 5-7 days if required. Inline with government guidance, we can only sail with one household over night during this time.
No experience is needed to climb aboard! The professional and experienced crew will teach you all you need to know. Hoist her sails, take the helm, try your hand at navigation or just kick back, relax, and take in the views – the choice is yours. A sailing weekend away will give you all the space you need with sea views every day and the best way to explore Cornwall and avoid the crowds and traffic.
These private bubble sailing holidays are all-inclusive. That means no cooking or cleaning with all your meals and a full crew with tuition included in the ticket price. Expect hearty home-cooked meals after a salty day sailing the coast and Bessie Ellen is known for her fantastic food onboard!
Where you sail will be dependant on the weather and tides but we can work with the skipper to create a bespoke itinerary. Perhaps explore Falmouth River and anchor at Trelissick to explore the protected woodland or sail across the bay to the Helford River as you get to grips with sailing this beautiful vessel. For longer voyages, you could venture further down the coast to Coverack or even make the crossing to the Isles of Scilly. The choice really is yours!
