Join Unity in the Cornish maritime port of Falmouth before hoisting the sails to leave one Celtic coast for another as you set a southerly course to Brittany. This voyage sees you enjoy the French sailing festival in Douarnenez and if anyone knows how to combine sailing, merriment and music for a holiday to remember – it’s definitely the French!
Flexible Sailing
No experience is needed to climb aboard! Unity’s professional and experienced crew will teach you all you need to know. Hoist her sails, take the helm, try your hand at navigation or just kick back, relax, and take in the views – the choice is yours.
Breton Sailing
Festival Temps Fête in Douarnenez is a beautiful collection of classic boats from all over the world and is a haven for traditional wooden ship lovers. It also attracts an array of photographers and artists who want to immerse themselves within working boats and the beauty of Douarnenez and its two ports. Whilst one is the old fishing port, Rosmeur, there is another with wooden wharves lined with harbour-side bars and restaurants in the medieval town. Douarnenez Festival also offers plenty of races, sailing re-enactments and other activities on the water. The cobbled streets are perfect to explore the music, local shops and cuisine whilst reminiscing of a time when the wooden boats provided the town with trade as they docked in the port.
UNITY
Unity is a Westcountry Cutter built using traditional methods for both speed and safety. She is the perfect vessel to learn how to sail and is easily handled by her crew. If you’re new to sailing and want to get to grips while in the shelter of the bay or you’ve had some experience and are looking to push yourself a little further – Unity can tailor her voyages to suit all.
All of Unity’s sailing holidays are all-inclusive. That means no cooking or cleaning with all your meals and a full crew with tuition included in the ticket price. Expect hearty home-cooked meals after a salty day sailing the coast.

Unity
Guest berths: 4 Rig: Pilot Cutter
Unity is a newly built Westcountry cutter, handcrafted in Cornwall and launched in 2016.
Built and owned by Jon Bray, Unity has been designed to take small groups with no sailing experience. She is perfect for small families who want to get to grips with sailing and life on the open water.
Her rig is based on that of a Pilot cutter so she is quick and easily handled while maintaining optimum safety for her guests aboard.
Above decks, she has a sunken cockpit and plenty of open deck space. Perfect if you want to anchor up and sit back with a book or watch the sun go down.
Below decks, she has been fitted to a high standard and has one double berth and two twin bunk berths in the fore cabin while the crew sleep in the aft. A generous saloon and galley give plenty of space for relaxing and feasting on home-cooked meals after an exhilarating day of sailing.
Unity offers fully-crewed private charter holidays for small families, couples or small groups looking for short breaks or week-long sailing holidays exploring the south coast of Cornwall.
