Built for elegance and speed whilst maintaining the utmost comfort for her guests both below decks and while under sail, Skyelark is suitable for all ages and abilities. From solo travellers to adventurous couples to groups of family and friends, her Caribbean sailing charters are a great way to break up the winter months.

Designed and built as a competitive pedigree to match her beautifully drawn lines and sumptuous interior, she has had many successes in ocean races and regattas.

Her sloop rig and modern design mean you can sail her with just two people, and she is an excellent boat to learn the ropes on during your sailing holiday.

Below decks, private cabins are beautifully appointed, and the well-appointed layout makes her suitable for a variety of travellers: single sailors, couples, or private charters with family or friends. Skyelark has a spacious saloon and a generous galley where the crew will prepare healthy and home-cooked meals after a day’s sailing. With complete air conditioning, Webasto heating and quiet flush heads, staying aboard Skyelark is more akin to a hotel than a boat!

On deck, there is a large, safe, and family-friendly cockpit, a lounging deck, and transom seats. There is always somewhere comfortable to be, either for socialising or some quiet reflection.

A removable bimini over the cockpit keeps the sun or rain out, and if the weather is inclement at anchor, a full cockpit enclosure keeps everyone warm whilst maintaining alfresco views.

Take a look inside!

You don’t need any experience to climb aboard and sail with yacht Skyelark! You can do as much or as little as you like!

Getting Involved

Skyelark is a sloop rig, built for speed and endurance, so she can be sailed comfortably with just two crew. That being said, she is the perfect boat to learn to sail on under the guidance of owners Dan and Emily. Take the helm, winch the sails and even try your hand at some basic navigation techniques if you fancy.

Sleeping and Relaxation

Both above and below decks offer guests the utmost comfort, with private cabins, three bathrooms, and a generous saloon for dining, relaxing, and socialising. Above decks, there is plenty of space for alfresco dining with a bimini cover for added protection from either rain or the hot Caribbean sun.

Cabin Configuration

Skyelark has two twin cabins with bunk berths, one double cabin and one larger (VIP) double cabin. The double cabins each have their own ensuite, and the twin cabins share one bathroom.

A typical day

Each day is tailored to the group and the voyage on offer. Depending on the destination, a typical day would include breakfast on board before exploring ashore or setting sail for another destination. Enjoy lunch either underway or at anchor as the afternoon is spent with a little more sailing or some onshore relaxation.

You can be sure to be very well fed, with both healthy and cooked breakfast options, delicious lunches, and a varied menu of home-cooked food for dinner.

When not sailing, there will be plenty of opportunities to get out and explore ashore. Whether your thing is a bike ride, a peak to conquer, splashing around on a paddleboard (included with your ticket price!), a quiet pint in a waterside pub, or reading a book onboard watching the world go by, whatever it is, there is something for everyone.

Sailing couple Dan and Emily have over 450,000 sea miles between them – you couldn’t be in safer hands when you climb aboard Skyelark.

Dan and Emily are highly experienced charter skippers, offering adventure, expedition, and luxury sailing trips to all corners of the world.  Their sea miles have included three circumnavigations and visits to places as remote as Antarctica and the South Pacific atolls.

Highly competent seafarers, they are relaxed, fun and friendly, making everyone feel comfortable and at ease. The boat is impeccably maintained, while safety and making guests feel secure are paramount.

The Oyster 62 was designed by Rob Humphries, and many have been sailed and raced to all corners of the world.

Few yachts offer the luxury, comfort, safety and performance of an Oyster. You will not find a more suitable yacht that is as capable at sea, from the tropics to the polar regions or as well set up for individuals and couples alike – owners Dan and Emily spent 3 years looking for the perfect replacement to their previous boat, to enhance the experience for everyone.

Built by Oyster Marine in the UK in 2005, Skyelark 2 is the big sister to the well-known classic Skyelark of London, whose exploits and adventures around the world have introduced many a crew member to the delights of blue water and expedition sailing.  The Oyster range of yachts is the flagship of British boat building – the most prestigious brand of luxury sailing yachts.
