Ingrid is a modern sailing catamaran, built for comfortable, sociable cruising. Her wide beam and twin hulls are perfect for smooth, stable sailing, making her a popular choice for families, groups of friends and anyone keen to feel at ease on the water from day one.
She is looked after by a qualified skipper and an onboard host, who between them take care of the sailing, the route planning and cooking, leaving guests free to relax, get involved as much or as little as they like, and enjoy the islands. There is always a hand needed to hoist a sail, trim a sheet or take a turn at the helm – though equally, nobody will mind if you would rather stretch out on the trampoline netting with a book.
From long weekends to week-long voyages, there is something for everyone aboard. Ingrid’s cruising grounds are the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, sailing out from the lush island of Grenada, also known as the Spice Island. Over a week aboard, she typically explores north through the Grenadines, calling at favourites such as Carriacou, Mayreau, Bequia and the Tobago Cays, with routes adapted to the weather and the group’s wishes. Sailing season runs from December to April, when the trade winds are steady and the days are warm and dry.
Both above and below decks, Ingrid is a beautiful base for exploring this corner of the Caribbean. She offers private double cabins, most with their own ensuite, a spacious saloon and plenty of space above decks to relax under sail and watch the world go by. Guests sleep up to twelve in total, and Ingrid carries a crew of two: a qualified skipper and an onboard host.
Ingrid can be booked either as a private charter, taking over the whole boat for your group, family or friends, or by the berth, joining other like-minded guests for a shared sailing holiday. Both options include the same skipper, host and half board package – it’s simply a question of whether you’d rather share the islands with new faces or have Ingrid entirely to yourselves.

Our sailing holidays aboard catamaran Ingrid are perfect for those wanting an easy, sociable introduction to life under sail. Explore the islands of the Grenadines by day and watch the sun set over a new bay each evening, with everything taken care of by your skipper and host.
Getting Involved
Ingrid is sailed by a qualified skipper, supported by a host who looks after meals and life on board. Guests are welcome to get involved in as much or as little as they like – there’s always a hand needed to hoist a sail, trim a sheet or take a turn at the wheel, and the skipper is happy to talk you through the basics of navigation and knots along the way.
Equally, nobody will mind if you would rather stretch out on the trampoline netting with a book while the miles slip by. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve sailed before or never set foot on a boat; the crew pitch their guidance to suit everyone aboard, from curious first-timers to old hands keen to brush up their skills. Many guests find that a morning spent learning to read the wind, followed by an afternoon doing absolutely nothing in a quiet bay, is exactly the balance they were after.
A Typical Day
Mornings start with a dip in the bay and a breakfast buffet served in the cockpit, sometimes to the sound of a distant reggae tune drifting from shore. After a short briefing on the day’s route, it’s time to set sail for a few hours, with plenty of opportunity to get involved or simply enjoy the ride. Lunch is taken at anchor in a calm, clear bay, leaving time to swim and unwind before sailing on to the evening’s harbour, where light snacks are served on arrival, and dinner ashore awaits.
Sleeping and Relaxation
Ingrid sleeps up to twelve guests across a combination of private double ensuite cabins, each designed to give couples and friends their own space at the end of the day. All cabins come with reading lights and charging points, and bed linen and towels are provided throughout.
Above decks, the wide trampoline netting and shaded cockpit make for some of the best spots to relax – whether that’s an afternoon nap lulled by the water below, a sundowner as the light fades over the Grenadines, or simply watching the islands slide past. The spacious saloon, kept cool with AC, offers a comfortable retreat for the whole group to gather.
Eating Aboard
Life on the water brings a healthy appetite, and Ingrid’s host takes care of breakfast and lunch each day, along with a drinks package of water, soft drinks, and beer or wine with meals. Expect fresh, simple dishes inspired by the islands – tropical fruit, local catch and the occasional beach-grilled lobster – with dietary requirements happily catered for. Evenings are spent ashore, where the crew are always glad to point you towards their favourite beach restaurant or local eatery for dinner. Whether it’s breakfast in the cockpit as the bay wakes up or lunch at anchor in crystal-clear water, mealtimes aboard Ingrid are as much about the setting as the food.
Skipper
Ingrid’s skipper holds a Coastal Skipper qualification along with a Short Range Certificate, and brings genuine local knowledge of the Grenadines – from the best anchorages for a swim to the bays with the liveliest beach bars. Calm, capable and always ready to explain a manoeuvre or a knot, the skipper is responsible for safety and the day’s route, while leaving plenty of room for guests to get hands-on if they choose.
Host
Alongside the skipper, Ingrid’s host looks after life on board – serving up breakfast and lunch each day, keeping the boat shipshape, and making sure everyone settles in quickly. With a warm, easy manner, the host is the first person you’ll get to know aboard, and often the best source of tips on where to eat each evening ashore.
Ingrid is a modern cruising catamaran, designed for stable, comfortable sailing rather than speed performance. Her twin-hull design and generous beam give her excellent initial stability, meaning very little heel underway, while her wide cockpit and deck spaces make the most of life in the tropical Caribbean sun.
Built by one of Europe’s leading catamaran yards, Ingrid reflects a generation of multihull design focused on sociable living space as much as sailing ability – bright, open saloons, easy deck access, and private cabins arranged across both hulls. It’s this combination of easy sailing and genuine comfort that makes catamarans like Ingrid such a popular choice for groups, families and friends discovering the Grenadines from the water for the first time.
