Join Skyelark as she sails and explores some of the most idyllic islands in the Caribbean. Your starting point is the island of St Lucia, where volcanic spires rise out of the water almost vertically – one of the most spectacular landmarks of St Lucia.

Setting the sails

Set the sails and follow the trade winds north to the picturesque villages and anchorages on Martinique. Think, blue water snorkelling, delicious French food and breath-taking bays to explore.

Guadeloupe is another French overseas region with its main island in the shape of a butterfly with the Salée River running in between.  The mainland is hilly and home to long beaches and sugarcane fields.  Parc National de la Guadeloupe encompasses the beautiful Carbet Falls and the volcano of La Grande Soufrière. Guadeloupe also has smaller islands that include Marie-Galante and La Désirade. The island of Dominica is mountainous and covered in rainforest reserves teeming with wildlife. The National Park is home to the volcanically heated, steam-covered Boiling Lake, hot springs and the 65m-tall Trafalgar Falls. The capital of Dominica, Roseau, is full of colourful timber houses and beautiful botanical gardens.

Our last stop in Antigua, of Antigua. This charter offers plenty of long day sails mixed in with days ashore on a variety of different islands. There are lots of opportunities for walking, swimming, snorkelling or relaxing on the beach.

Under the stars

Aboard Skyelark each meal will be home-cooked using locally available ingredients where possible, resulting in the most delicious spread of food every evening.  With minimal light pollution, the Caribbean have some of the clearest skies you’ll have ever seen so make use of Skyelark’s generous seating area on deck and eat beneath the stars.

Travel insurance notes

As this is an active adventure holiday, we advise that everyone has the appropriate personal accident travel insurance whilst onboard in addition to standard travel insurance which would cover you in the time between making your booking and departing for your adventure. These policies can sometimes be combined so please check with your travel insurance provider.
