Sail through the Mediterranean Sea from Malta to Croatia with modern classic Kairos.

Sail from Malta to Croatia on a rewarding Mediterranean passage aboard Kairos. This route links the historic harbours of Vittoriosa with the Adriatic coast near Dubrovnik, covering around 380 nautical miles of open water and coastal sailing. It is a voyage that balances longer stretches under sail with the relaxed pace of life on board a classic yacht.

Perfectly suited for those who enjoy covering real distance while still appreciating time on deck, this sailing holiday offers the chance to be as involved as you wish. Malta to Croatia

Boarding takes place in Vittoriosa, one of Malta’s historic Three Cities, where stone fortifications and grand harbours reflect centuries of seafaring history. Casting off from the Grand Harbour, Kairos heads north into open Mediterranean waters. Once clear of Malta, the focus turns to the passage ahead as the ship settles into a steady course toward southern Italy.

The planned sailing route follows the coastline of Apulia, passing the region around Brindisi. These waters are known for their open horizons and reliable Mediterranean sailing conditions. Expect long, satisfying days under sail, with time to enjoy the space of the sea and the quiet concentration that comes with proper distance sailing. As always on Kairos, life on board is relaxed, and participation in active sailing is optional, although highly encouraged for the full experience. Sails are trimmed as conditions change and the miles build steadily beneath the keel.

From Italy, the voyage continues across the Adriatic toward Croatia. The coastline gradually rises ahead as Kairos approaches Cavtat, a charming harbour town just south of Dubrovnik.

Entering the Adriatic brings a shift in scenery, from open Mediterranean passages to the more enclosed waters of the Croatian coast. Cavtat offers a welcoming arrival, with a sheltered harbour, waterfront cafés and easy access to Dubrovnik. Stepping off here marks an end to a passage that combines classic tall ship sailing with the satisfaction of travelling by wind between three distinct corners of the Mediterranean.
