Catamaran Charter Sailing in Croatia
Split → Solta → Brac → Hvar → Vis → Korcula → Skrivena Luka (Lastovo) → return Split
Your exclusive catamaran charter in Croatia begins in Split, one of the Adriatic’s most compelling port towns, with a UNESCO-listed old town built around the walls of a Roman emperor’s palace. It’s well worth arriving a day early to explore before boarding. From Split, Acacia heads out to sea, and the Croatian islands open up before you. The skipper will suggest a route each day to make the most of the wind and weather, with your group’s preferences always at the forefront. Anchor in hidden coves, swim from the boat, and spend evenings ashore sampling fresh seafood and local wine in harbourside restaurants. Most evening meals are onshore, with one special dinner served on deck under the stars.
Unlike a bareboat charter, Acacia comes with a dedicated, experienced crew, so there’s no need to worry about navigation or logistics. Just arrive, relax, and let the crew do the rest.
The Islands of Croatia
Croatia has over a thousand islands, and your route will likely take in some of the finest. Here’s an idea of what to expect:
- Solta is a quieter, greener island just a short sail from Split, with clear blue waters, secluded beaches, and the small town of Rogac to explore on foot
- Brac is home to the famous Zlatni Rat beach, whose golden horn shape shifts with the wind and tide. There’s also the option of a spa afternoon by the pool on the island
- Hvar is a lively island with real character, from the hidden cove of Palmizana and its botanical garden to the bustle of Hvar Town itself
- Vis is one of the furthest islands from the mainland, and all the better for it. The old town is a tangle of narrow streets, medieval architecture, and excellent local restaurants
- Korcula is a beautifully preserved medieval island town, with fresh seafood, local wine, and history around every corner
Skrivena Luka – Croatia’s Hidden Harbour
Save the best for last. Skrivena Luka, on the island of Lastovo, translates simply as “hidden harbour”. Tucked away from the main tourist routes, this unspoiled bay is surrounded by lush greenery and remarkably clear water, and is a firm favourite among sailors who know the Croatian coast well. There are a handful of restaurants and cafes in the small village, but the real draw is the stillness. Drop anchor, swim, and take a moment to appreciate its tranquillity.
Your Boat: Lagoon 46 Catamaran Acacia
Acacia is a Lagoon 46 catamaran, which is one of the fastest and most comfortable in her class. Catamarans are renowned for their stable, smooth sailing, which makes for a relaxed time on the water and greatly reduces the risk of seasickness. There’s also plenty of space at the bow for sunbathing, reading, or simply watching the coastline drift past.
Below deck, each hull has two double en-suite cabins, sleeping up to eight guests in comfort. The crew have their own separate cabins, so there’s no compromise on space. Your skipper and crew know the Croatian islands well, so they’ll look after the sailing, prepare your meals on board, and make sure each day feels effortless.
- Sleeps 8 in spacious double en-suite cabins
- Dedicated crew: skipper and host
- Breakfasts and lunches are prepared daily
