• Vis is one of the furthest islands from the mainland, and all the better for it. The old town is a tangle of narrow streets, medieval architecture, and excellent local restaurants
• Korcula is a beautifully preserved medieval island town, with fresh seafood, local wine, and history around every corner

Skrivena Luka – Croatia’s Hidden Harbour

Save the best for last. Skrivena Luka, on the island of Lastovo, translates simply as “hidden harbour”. Tucked away from the main tourist routes, this unspoiled bay is surrounded by lush greenery and remarkably clear water, and is a firm favourite among sailors who know the Croatian coast well. There are a handful of restaurants and cafes in the small village, but the real draw is the stillness. Drop anchor, swim, and take a moment to appreciate its tranquillity.
