Job Description

Our fleet of mostly traditional vessels are looking for qualified skippers to help cover crew holidays throughout the season here in the UK. You must have the confidence to jump aboard and get to know the vessels quickly and have experience of the charter market where you are responsible for guests aboard and making sure they have a safe and fun time while with you and your crew.
Experience of Gaff boats preferable, from boats 50 -150ton.

Offshore Commercially Endorsed Yachtmaster
ENG1
STCW95
Must be also vaccinated for COVID19

Job Description

We are looking for adventurous and enthusiastic people with previous cooking experience to join some of our fleet sailing the Hebrides in Scotland this season. You don’t need any sailing qualifications, but any sailing experience would be a benefit. You must be able to work in small spaces and produce a good standard of food for guests 3 times a day. This will range from simple eggs at breakfast and buffet lunches to three-course evening meals, plus baking bread and cakes each day. You will be helped by the skipper to create menus to suit any dietary needs and be responsible for provisioning the boat with the right food and drink each week on a budget.

You would need to have previous experience working in the catering or hospitality trade and be used to dealing with various types of people as you sail together for a week onboard.

The role will require you to stay aboard the vessel all season with a bunk in the crew quarters, and all meals will be provided and a day off on a regular rota basis. This is a seasonal role from June to September with long days but an exciting environment with ever-changing scenery and very interesting people to meet. You must really love the great outdoors the thrive on being a part of a team.

Good hourly rates of pay, with bed and board is included. If successful applicants will be required to obtain an ENG1 or ML5 certification to be an official part of the crew.
