Iris’ Crew

Iris is proudly owned and skippered by Dutch sailing couple Jans and Liv. 

They have been sailing together for many years, from traditional tall ships on the North Sea and trans-Atlantic crossings to engineering on cargo ships – they are well-versed in life on the water.

For the last few years, they have been working with tall ship Twister, and when the opportunity to buy Iris came along last year, they jumped at the chance!

Since 11 January 2024, Liv and Jans have been the proud owners of Iris and are looking forward to taking care of her with all their heart and soul. They have already spent a winter making some cosmetic changes below decks to ensure guests have a welcoming and comfortable experience aboard.

They are looking forward to many adventures at sea and meeting interesting guests along the way!
