Sail with Unity as she provides the perfect vantage point for the start of the annual Tall Ships Race in Falmouth.
Join Unity for a sailing holiday in Cornwall to mark the start of the annual international Tall Ships Race. Your voyage begins with the opportunity to watch Tall Ships from all over the world gather in Falmouth as they get ready to begin their first race of 2021. Falmouth is a bustling harbour town nestled into the South West coast and is the perfect starting point for your adventure sailing holiday.
Unity’s voyages are not “set in stone”. She is flexible for private charter sailings from June to September 2021. Perfect for young families or couples alike, Unity is offering bespoke sailing holidays for a minimum of three nights.
Once you’ve watched the tall ships disappear over the horizon, it’s time to spend a couple of days exploring the Cornish coast. The rest of your voyage will, of course, be dictated by the direction of the wind and tide to make full use of Unity’s sails, so there is no set route or itinerary.
No experience is needed to climb aboard! Unity’s professional and experienced crew will teach you all you need to know. Hoist her sails, take the helm, try your hand at navigation or just kick back, relax, and take in the views – the choice is yours.
Unity is a Westcountry Cutter built using traditional methods for both speed and safety. She is the perfect vessel to learn how to sail and is easily handled by her crew. If you’re new to sailing and want to get to grips while in the shelter of the bay or you’ve had some experience and are looking to push yourself a little further – Unity can tailor her voyages to suit all.
All of Unity’s sailing holidays are all-inclusive. That means no cooking or cleaning with all your meals and a full crew with tuition included in the ticket price. Expect hearty home-cooked meals after a salty day sailing the coast.
Where you sail with Unity will be dependant on the weather and tides but we can work with the skipper to create a bespoke itinerary. Perhaps explore Falmouth River and anchor at Trelissick to explore the protected woodland or sail across the bay to the Helford River as you get to grips with sailing this beautiful vessel. For longer voyages, you could venture further up the coast to quaint harbour towns such as Fowey or even make the crossing to the Isles of Scilly. The choice really is yours!

Guest berths: 5 Rig: Pilot Cutter
Unity is a newly built Westcountry cutter, handcrafted in Cornwall and launched in 2016.
Built and owned by Jon Bray, Unity has been designed to take small groups with no sailing experience. She is perfect for small families who want to get to grips with sailing and life on the open water.
Her rig is based on that of a Pilot cutter so she is quick and easily handled while maintaining optimum safety for her guests aboard.
Above decks, she has a sunken cockpit and plenty of open deck space. Perfect if you want to anchor up and sit back with a book or watch the sun go down.
Below decks, she has been fitted to a high standard and has one double berth and two twin bunk berths in the fore cabin while the crew sleep in the aft. A generous saloon and galley give plenty of space for relaxing and feasting on home-cooked meals after an exhilarating day of sailing.
For summer 2021, Unity is offering private charter holidays for small families, couples or small groups for short breaks or week-long sailing holidays exploring the coasts of Cornwall.More about Unity
