Life on Board Maybe
Join classic ketch Maybe for a hands-on sailing experience.
Gaff ketch Maybe is perfect for those wanting an active sailing holiday onboard a classic boat.
With a knowledgable and permanent crew, Maybe is a great base to learn more about sailing a tall ship and guests are encouraged to get involved hoisting the sails, taking the helm and knot tying. On her longer Atlantic crossings, guests will work with the crew to take turns in the watch system.
Below deck Maybe has three main areas. The furthest forward is the forepeak, where there is a 6-berth cabin and shower room and normally where most of the crew will sleep. In the midships area are the galley, generous saloon, 4 further private cabins and another shower room. Furthest aft is the ‘dog house’ where 2 crew members sleep along with all the navigations and radio equipment and the engine room!
All the cabins have twin bunks with all bedding provided. A wash basin, plenty of storage and a radiator to keep your cabin warm on those colder days and nights!
Maybe has a dedicated chef to ensure you don’t go hungry after a day on the water. A buffet style, continental breakfast is laid in the saloon each morning with hearty lunches, soups and sandwiches and home-cooked dinners using as much local produce as possible.
