Hannah Miller and Erick Tichonuk are the owner-operators of Bonnie Lynn. Both hold a USCG Master’s 100-ton Near Coastal license, with sailing and STCW endorsements. They began their chartering careers in 2020 aboard their 57-foot classic wooden ketch Surprise, offering day and multi-day charters in Long Island, NY and the Bahamas.
Erick Tichonuk
Prior to chartering, Erick worked for thirty years at Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in Vermont, working as a scuba diver, underwater archeologist, historian, educator, and eventually Executive Director. He helped create historic replica boats at the museum, including the 88-foot canal schooner Lois McClure upon which he served as First Mate and Master for 15 years. Erick is passionate about snorkelling and free-diving, and enjoys helping guests improve their skills in the water. A talented spear-fisherman and excellent cook, he makes sure that fish is on the menu for any seafood-lovers onboard.
Hannah Miller
Hannah worked for many years as an outdoor educator, leading expedition-based programs with children and young adults in Ecuador and New England, USA. An avid and curious world traveler, Hannah speaks French and Spanish. She had her first taste of sailing aboard the tall ship Picton Castle, completing a trans-Atlantic and Caribbean passage, and has been around boats ever since. Hannah is the baker onboard, and is known for her daily sourdough breads and desserts. Her utmost priority is to make sure that everyone who steps aboard feels at home.
