Sail from Naxos to Athens and experience the very best of the Cyclades under sail with Zorba.

Join modern yacht Zorba in her home country of Greece as you get ready to enjoy an authentic Greek sailing holiday from Naxos to Athens, enjoying the very best of the Cyclades and Saronic islands along the way.

This week is dedicated to more experienced sailors or newbies that are ready for an exhilarating sailing adventure. It is the perfect opportunity for those who wish to learn more about sailing and improve their skills with longer passengers at sea.

This one – way cruises give guests the chance to explore the islands on the way to Athens as we set sails from the island of Naxos, the largest island in Cyclades with beautiful beaches and a gorgeous old town of meandering alleys. Our next stop is Paros (with its quieter sister Antiparos) offering guests a chance to visit and feel the “real Greece” with its relaxed local atmosphere. Other island stops along the way could also include Sifnos – the most delicious greek island and a beauty to behold. Serifos – with its rugged mining sites, ladened with history, has its own distinct Cycladic flair and Kythnos boasting a wild natural landscape, elegant architecture and a selection of stunning beaches and a lovely hot springs to swim at night. The local secret of Kea is a great weekend hangout and summer hideaway and has a different landscape and architecture than its Cycladic sisters. Before coming to Athens Zorba will stop atSounion and the Temple of Poseidon, one of the most magnificent ancient landmarks in the Attica region.

From afternoon anchorages on remote islands perfectly lined with crystal coves for swimming and snorkelling to the very best, tried and tested Tavernas on the main islands, there won’t be time to see it all and you’ll be longing to return before you’ve even stepped foot off the boat.

Read more about what to expect from a typical day on the water with Zorba and what to expect from fife onboard.

Exactly where you’ll head will be entirely dependant on the wind and weather but skippers Aga & Greg have been sailing here for over 15 years so they certainly know all the best spots. Read more about your hosts for the week here, they will certainly make sure you have an unforgettable experience and are both dedicated to ensuring guests experience the very best of Greek hospitality.

During all our trips we try to stay far away from tourist crowds – in the small harbours or on anchorages next to desert islands (excluding goats and birds). Each day we stop for swimming in beautiful bays – some of them completely wild, others with one small taverna, serving for lunch fresh fish and seafood (often taken out of the water before our eyes). For our guests who are interested, there is the possibility of jogging/yoga in the morning, organic food on board and a healthy lifestyle close to wild nature.

From solo travellers to couples to groups of families or friends, there is something for everyone on this sailing adventure. Swim, snorkel and make use of the boats SUP’s in secluded bays with crystal-clear water and sandy beaches.

*Unlike some of our voyages, Aga offers a personal service to guests to arrange transport from Athens airport to the boat. This is included in your ticket price and information will be given at the time of booking. The ticket price also reflects the half board nature of this holiday as explained in Zorba’s life on board section. Breakfast and lunch are included in the ticket price but evening meals will take place in traditional Greek Tavernas at the cost of the guest where you can get a delicious local spread for about 15€ per person – and that even includes the wine!
