History of Steady
As she was only built in 1993, Steady is a relatively young ship with a simple history.
Designed as a charted vessel by American George Beuhler and built in Gdansk, Poland in 1993, the steel-hulled Ketch Steady has sailed away her days as a charter vessel, taking her guests all over the globe in comfort and style.
Barely 20 years old, this makes up most of her history, leaving her open for plenty of memories to be made in the capable hands of Skippers, Jan-Willem and Mariëlle. Become a part of this ship’s history and join her as she sails through iconic waters – including the Caledonian Canal, the North Sea crossing and making the journey out to the fantastical St. Kilda.
